For this Christmas, I decided to go with a really natural make-up look to go to my Nan and Grandad's house with. I find on Christmas Day that too much can be too much as I think of this day as a time to relax and spend time with your family - and you do not need makeup for that!
I am proud to say that my make-up collection consists of very few products. Only the bare essentials with a few palettes or lipsticks to spice it up a bit.
The products I used are:
An old cleaned mascara brush
Collection Skyscraper Mascara - Waterproof
MUA Blusher in shade 1
MUA Powder in shade 1
MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette
NIVEA Pearly Shine Lip Balm
Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in 51
Rimmel Glam Eyes Proffesional Liquid Liner in Black Glamour
No. 7 brushes
*and if anyone if wondering I use the old mascara brush for separating out my lashes once my mascara has dried as I absolutely HATE clumps*
Firstly I washed, cleansed and moisturised my face with the Clean&Clear Deep Action Cream Wash and the Dual Action moisturiser in an attempt to keep my spots tamed.
I then moved with the make-up, priming my eyelids with the Bourjois concealer
and then brushing over the top with my favourite colour from the MUA palette, the top right (I wish they had names). Then, I brushed along the crease with one of the darker colours as well as on the outer rim of my eyelid. Taking the Rimmel Eye Liner, I lined along the lash line with no flick at the end. Finishing off the eyes, I took the Skyscraper mascara and waved it over each eye (I use hardly any mascara as I do not like it to be obvious). With the concealer again, I covered my many blemishes, underneath my eyes and in the creases of my nose to remove any noticeable imperfections. The day before I had treated my skin with much water so my spots were actually pretty tame! :D
With the MUA powder I brushed it very lightly over my cheeks and the rest of my face before applying my blusher on the apples of my cheeks.
And finally, I took my old mascara brush and cleaned through my lashes, separating them and removing any clumps. VOILA my make-up is finished.
My outfit was one I had been loving all through autumn. I love all the colours, especially the burgundy, as I use it twice.
My Clothes:
Vintage Denim Jacket
Primark Burgundy Knitwear
Vera Moda Sheer Yellow Shirt
New Look Black Jeans
Burgundy and Cream sole Vans

MUA Heaven & Earth Palette
MUA is a brand that I was not really convinced by: with their £1 products I thought the make up would be extremely poor quality. Despite this I am now warming to a lot of their products. I used to be addicted to their 'Hide and Conceal Cover Up Stick' when I was younger for concealing underneath the eye in hot summers. I have no idea why as the product was pretty poor!
However, I love their 'Waterproof Eye Liquid Liners' as for swimming on holiday they were perfect - despite going in the pool several times each day, the liner resisted the water and did not budge (although I do have to admit it did start to crackle after long wear). The coral coloured blushes are also really pigmented and have impressive lastly power (although I may have a slight biased from my love of coral colours).
Anyway, words literally cannot describe my love for this palette. The quality and the vast amount of colours for the price is amazing. 12 beautiful neutral tones for the perfect natural eye.
My favourite colour is easily the champagne-like colour in the top left. It is great for all over the eyelid as a base colour - or as a highlighter on the brow-bone. It is good as a hilighter as it has a slight shimmer to it, as do most of the rest, however, some of the have a more dense glitter. I tend to use pretty much any of the darker colours for my crease and outer eyelid. This provides a quite subtle but effective eye that I wish I really had naturally!

Lily
Hi!
I can't believe I am about to start this, I have read FleurDeForce, Pixi2woo, SprinkleOfGlitter and Zoella for over a year now and I have always wanted to give it a go. I can guarantee that I will be a rubbish writer, but oh well.
I am a not a typical 14 year-old girl. I love football, my life practically revolves around it. I play for a team in the South East and I really want to get to professional level.
Anyway, the blog. I love make up: I don't want to sound like a tart or anything but I have been wearing it since Year 7. I feel it just gives me a boost, physically and mentally. I feel confident and happy when I have make up on. I don't mind what people think: 'Oh she has too much make up on'. I know what is too much and I don't think I am crossing that barrier. Yet. I feel like make up is an art, it's about colour, tones and perfection. I would love to become an artist. When I am out shopping, or just watching tv, I always look at people's make up just to see how they have done it. None of my other friends really understand me, they think it is all about the eyes. However, I focus on makeup for my skin. And it is amazing all the different types from highlighter to primer to eyeliner. I just love it.
I couldn't live without my Superdrug. I must spend most of my money in there. I watch videos, or read blog posts and I just think 'I need that product'. And I get it (I know - it is like a disease). However, I never go over £7. I am a teenager, I do not have a job and I need to save money. Therefore, no high end brands for me. I think the high street can give you so much, at good quality as well, I do not see the need for high end product - however good they are.
And shopping. Brighton is my favourite place in the whole wide world. The shops - the best - Primark, Topshop, H&M, Superdry, Jack Wills, Republic. What more could you ever need? I do not shop that much (the Brighton bus takes an hour and a quarter from my house). So I try to limit my spending. I am not very good at it though.
So that's me so far. Plus school, but that's boring.
Byeeeee
