For this Christmas, I decided to go with a really natural make-up look to go to my Nan and Grandad's house with. I find on Christmas Day that too much can be too much as I think of this day as a time to relax and spend time with your family - and you do not need makeup for that!
I am proud to say that my make-up collection consists of very few products. Only the bare essentials with a few palettes or lipsticks to spice it up a bit.
The products I used are:
An old cleaned mascara brush
Collection Skyscraper Mascara - Waterproof
MUA Blusher in shade 1
MUA Powder in shade 1
MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette
NIVEA Pearly Shine Lip Balm
Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in 51
Rimmel Glam Eyes Proffesional Liquid Liner in Black Glamour
No. 7 brushes
*and if anyone if wondering I use the old mascara brush for separating out my lashes once my mascara has dried as I absolutely HATE clumps*
Firstly I washed, cleansed and moisturised my face with the Clean&Clear Deep Action Cream Wash and the Dual Action moisturiser in an attempt to keep my spots tamed.
I then moved with the make-up, priming my eyelids with the Bourjois concealer
and then brushing over the top with my favourite colour from the MUA palette, the top right (I wish they had names). Then, I brushed along the crease with one of the darker colours as well as on the outer rim of my eyelid. Taking the Rimmel Eye Liner, I lined along the lash line with no flick at the end. Finishing off the eyes, I took the Skyscraper mascara and waved it over each eye (I use hardly any mascara as I do not like it to be obvious). With the concealer again, I covered my many blemishes, underneath my eyes and in the creases of my nose to remove any noticeable imperfections. The day before I had treated my skin with much water so my spots were actually pretty tame! :D
With the MUA powder I brushed it very lightly over my cheeks and the rest of my face before applying my blusher on the apples of my cheeks.
And finally, I took my old mascara brush and cleaned through my lashes, separating them and removing any clumps. VOILA my make-up is finished.
My outfit was one I had been loving all through autumn. I love all the colours, especially the burgundy, as I use it twice.
My Clothes:
Vintage Denim Jacket
Primark Burgundy Knitwear
Vera Moda Sheer Yellow Shirt
New Look Black Jeans
Burgundy and Cream sole Vans
